Fifteen teams of four were booked to fish this completion. HMP Prison Service entered both southern and northern teams and together with the Army once again proved themselves difficult to beat.
The match was won by HMP Prison Service South with HMP Prison Service North both tying on 9 points, the south team winning by higher aggregate weight. The 3rd and 4th place teams tied on 22 points with Essex Police taking 3rd place on aggregate weight. The match is a team event but the strength of the HMP Prison Service teams was revealed when the results showed that each section winner fished for one of these teams and their lowest placed angler in any section was 5th.

At the conclusion of the event the participants received a hot meal whilst the results were calculated.
The event continues to be popular and well supported, and I have received many compliments regarding the running of the event. May I take this opportunity to thank the PSUK for their continued support which is essential to assist in hosting the event.
