The venue was the lovely Packington Somers Fishery, Meriden, Coventry, where special mention must go to fishery manager John Burchell and his staff, who always go above and beyond to make all welcome. The event was sold out, with nineteen teams of four taking part.
The weather was lovely for topping up the tan, but not perfect for fishing. Even the fish were happy basking in the sun! Still, plenty of fish were caught during the five-hour match. Following the match, all competitors enjoyed the post-match buffet whilst the final results were sorted.
This match is an annual event and enjoyed by all. It is also good to catch up with colleagues and friends from around the country.
